Privacy Policy — Page Insight
Last updated: July 2026
Page Insight is operated by Keyan Enayati (kianenayati@yahoo.com). This policy explains how the Page Insight Chrome extension handles data accessed through Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Search Console (GSC).
1. Overview
Page Insight is a read-only analytics extension that displays GA4, Search Console and on-page technical SEO data directly on the web page you are viewing, for property owners with existing access.
2. Data We Access
When you sign in with your Google Account, Page Insight accesses:
- Google Analytics 4 metrics (sessions, users, engagement, conversions) for the property matching the page you’re viewing
- Google Search Console metrics (clicks, impressions, average position, top queries) for the URL you’re viewing
- On-page HTML of the current tab (title tag, meta description, headings, canonical tag) — read locally in your browser, not via any Google API
3. How We Use This Data
Data from GA4 and Search Console is used only to:
- Display your analytics and SEO metrics within the extension popup
- Show this information in real time, visible only to you
We do not:
- Sell or share your Google data with any third party
- Use your data for advertising purposes
- Store your analytics data after your session ends
- Make any changes to your GA4 property, Search Console account, or the pages you visit
4. Data Protection and Security
We take the protection of your Google user data seriously. Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of your data, including:
- All data is transmitted between your browser and Google’s APIs using HTTPS/TLS encryption, so data in transit is encrypted at all times
- Your OAuth access token is stored using Chrome’s built-in, sandboxed extension storage, which is isolated per-extension and inaccessible to other websites or extensions
- We do not operate a backend server that stores, logs, or processes your Google user data — data is fetched directly from Google’s APIs to your browser and is never routed through, or retained on, infrastructure controlled by the developer
- Access to your data within the extension is limited strictly to the account you have authenticated with; no other user or party can view your data
- You can revoke access and remove all locally stored authentication data at any time, as described in Section 7 below
5. Data Storage and Retention
We do not store any GA4 or Search Console data on our servers. All data is fetched in real time and is not retained after your session ends.
Your OAuth access token is stored securely in Chrome’s built-in extension storage, only on your own device, and is used solely to authenticate your requests to Google’s APIs.
6. Google API Services Compliance
This extension complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements:
- Only the minimal read-only permissions required are requested
- No Google data is transferred to third parties
- No user profiling or data enrichment is performed
- Data is used strictly to provide analytics to the account owner
7. Permissions We Request
| Permission | Purpose |
|---|---|
| analytics.readonly | Read your Google Analytics 4 metrics for the current page |
| webmasters.readonly | Read your Search Console metrics for the current URL |
| userinfo.email | Identify which Google Account is connected |
8. Your Rights and Control
You can revoke access at any time by:
- Going to myaccount.google.com/permissions, finding “Page Insight”, and selecting “Remove Access”
- Uninstalling the extension from Chrome, which stops all data requests immediately
